League of Friends, Royal London Homeopathic Hospital Help Save NHS Homeopathy

About the League of Friends

The League of Friends was started in 1975 by Sidney Jaque who donated the first £5 to start the funds moving. Sidney, at 98, is still a member of the League of Friends and our Honorary Vice-President.

We are a voluntary organisation run by its members for the benefit of the patients and staff of the hospital.

What We Do

We support the patients and the doctors and nurses working at the hospital. A happy band of volunteers runs the snack bar on the third floor and the proceeds from this go towards providing the help we give to the RLHH.

We also give support to the Academic Unit which continues to train doctors and nurses on post-graduate courses. The Research Department provides evidence of the effectiveness of treatment and this work is also supported by the ‘Friends’.
